My main comment about all such matters is that the formal programming is perhaps a third of what I attend conventions for, & I think that goes for a goodly number of folks who frequently participate. I filled out the programme form for ConZealand, & it looks like I'm more likely to be in North America than in Europe during July (in GMT+2, all the programming happens between midnight & 8 AM), but I'm still undecided. Honestly, I feel that the committee would do well to upgrade all Supporting memberships to Attending at no cost, since there's nothing to actually attend.
