Personally I wouldn't try to do anything like that on wi-fi. A nice long ethernet cable is a very powerful talisman against suddenly losing the connexion.

If you have a backdrop printed on cloth, my advice is to put eyelets into at least the corners. Then you can hang it on hooks, or use cable ties, or whatever is convenient. Of course, I keep telling myself I'm going to do that with my Moon backdrop, & have I actually done it, in years of travelling around with the thing? Of course not!
