6/14/2023 Question of the day

International Bath Day: Do you take baths regularly, or are you strictly a shower aficionado?

Strictly showers. If I just sat in a bath I'd get bored, and I wouldn't dare even bring a book for fear of dropping it in the water.

Its been a long time, decades, since I had a good tub for a bath... ours is too low and with my hip etc. Its too great a risk in regards to a fall. Modern American tubs are too low for people with arthritic limbs and things like hip replacements.

My mother, when re-doing her bathroom, installed a shower stall and a "soaking tub", which is shorter head-to-foot than a typical American tub, but much deeper. It may also be a trifle broader. As I recall, she went to the extent of importing one from Japan and was immensely vexed to find out that the seller had listed the overall dimensions, not the inner dimensions, thus completely messing up her carefully-planned-out design.
