This week the tulips all opened up and we had three days in a row over 60F. One of these days it'll stop dropping down to freezing overnight.

We had our traditional ham for Easter dinner, and I have a hollow chocolate bunny and some chocolate eggs to work my way through this week. Also, this being Easter weekend, I've been attending a couple days of Norwescon and wishing Orycon could come up with a panel lineup that good.

This is also the week where the sale of my company from one parent company to another was finalized. We haven't seen the last of the previous parent company, though; we'll be untangling our IT infrastructure from its through October, and part of the deal was that it takes a stake in the new parent company, so I guess it's now our grandparent company.

Meanwhile, the pandemic rumbles on in the background of everything. Oregon's positive test rate is drifting upward toward the dreaded 5% number. It's a race, as they say, between vaccines and variants. Or between vaccines and people who want to just pretend it's over already.
