Operation: Standard Time Forever
Mar. 8th, 2020 09:34 amMy New Year's resolution this year was that this is the year I finally stop thinking about ignoring daylight savings time and actually do it. I mean, I'm still changing the clocks, but I'm not going to shift my schedule an hour. Being a morning person, I'll probably start getting up earlier gradually as we get more light, but I'll let that happen on its own schedule.
But I really have no excuse for not doing it. I'm in an industry that allows flexible hours, I don't have any meetings within the first hour after I've been arriving at work, the health downsides of depriving yourself of morning sunlight are well documented, and really, if there was ever a bad time to disrupt the orderly functioning of my body with artificial jet lag, it is now.
