7/9/ 78 days to go
Aug. 17th, 2020 07:26 pm(Yes, I was so busy blogging about other things yesterday that I forgot this.)
Fall is arriving. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings were a bit chilly when I went out for a walk. The leaves on a few trees are starting to change. It's getting dark noticeably earlier in the evenings.
Then again, to remind us that it's still August, Saturday and Sunday were both over 100F. Portland can go years without seeing temperatures that high.
Something purplish is now blooming all over the local park. I have no idea what it is.
I had an actual in-person doctor's appointment this week. On my way out, the receptionist and I mused about the possibility of not having to wear masks when I come in again in 6 months. If it's plausible that we could have a reliable vaccine by the end of the year, then hopefully healthcare workers at least will have access to it in February.
