It is, by turns, chilly, sunny, rainy, and blustery. It's sort of spring and sort of not, as the buds on the trees sit there rather than open, but the daffodils are still going strong.

The household's vaccine eligibility is indeterminate as well right now. As those of you in the US have probably heard, this past week, the president announced that he'd like to see all adults eligible to be vaccinated by May 1. Oregon's response was that it would be happy to do that once it had guarantees from the federal government about the vaccine supply to support that. Instead, a couple days later, it got a federal mandate about opening up eligibility.

So our state has speeded up its timetable. People who were to be eligible as of the 29th, like the SO and me, can be vaccinated as of tomorrow in any county that feels it has vaccinated enough of its seniors to start handling more groups. There is no master list of those counties, though.

The best way I can think of to handle this is to start searching for vaccine appointments in earnest tomorrow, then make sure not to schedule anything for before the 29th.

This is all academic though, really, since there are no appointments to be had right now. Vaccine supply is supposed to jump again in early April, but I don't expect any extra appointments will be available until those supplies start arriving.
