Well, I'd feel less of a need to explain the difference between the Web and the Internet to people who conflate them...
Anyway, it would affect me a lot, obviously. No more virtual cons, keeping in touch with people around the world, handy downloaded RPG scenarios, or streaming TV. I think it's the mass communication abilities I'd miss the most. I could cope with going back to only in-person cons, buying physical RPG adventures, and using cable; but only being able to communicate instantaneously long distance one-to-one by phone would be a drag.
World Wide Web Day: Think about how much of what you do each day you do online. If the internet disappeared tomorrow, how would that impact your life? How would you have to start doing things differently (or go back to a pre-internet way of doing things)?
