International Plastic Bag Free Day: Some localities are banning the use of plastic bags or charging a small amount for each one used. Is this an initiative where you live? Have you taken steps to reduce or eliminate the number of plastic bags that you use? Is there something for which you use plastic bags that you can't think of anything else that you could use for that purpose?

Around here the supermarkets are required to charge for paper bags and most don't even offer plastic. But they do still have plastic bag recycling drop-offs available.

The main reason for plastic bags entering this house at this point is that we still subscribe to a physical newspaper and it shows up in plastic even on nice days.
