World Architecture Day: Are you a keen observer of architecture, or do you mostly notice it when you see architectural oddities, e.g. a particularly ugly building, or a very unusual house design — that sort of thing?

Not hugely, but I think reading McMansion Hell has pushed me more in that direction. Not just from ogling terrible houses, but it contained a lot of articles on basic architectural concepts in its early days. (They don't seem to be easily accessible anymore, except for a few in the McMansions 101 and Architecture options in the site menu.)
