Wild goose chase

petrea_mitchellAs we were heading down to the local diner to pick up our dinner order, we saw a bald eagle flying by at top speed in pursuit of a goose.
This was a bit of a surprise for me because (a) I didn't know bald eagles hunted other birds and (b) bald eagles usually aren't usually seen anywhere near here. They typically stick to stretches of the local rivers well away from human habitation.
I guess that's our story about wildlife getting braver due to the pandemic reducing human activity.
