Chopsticks Day: Can you eat with chopsticks? If yes, how often do you use them?

I learned to use them sometime in childhood and use them whenever they're offered, which generally means in a Chinese restaurant or disposable chopsticks with takeout from same or from an Asian food cart. It's just often enough to stay in practice.

In 2007, the SO and I visited Japan, and we went to a couple restaurants where chopsticks could have been used, but both times the servers took one look at us and got out the forks.
