International Fragrance Day: Many public spaces, at least in North America, have scent-free policies in place due to the number of people who are negatively affected by perfumes and other scented products. Are you negatively affected by other people's colognes/body sprays/after-shave, etc.? Do you use scented products yourself?

I'm negatively affected by some strong scents. I remember there was a local craft store that I couldn't go into very long because it always had some kind of very strong fragrance wafting around. I've never encountered any perfume etc. that I couldn't stand, though.

But because I know personal fragrances are a problem for some people, I stick with unscented products.

I use a scent free laundry soap because of my reaction to things, and can't have blooming flowers in the house because of my allergies... some perfumes and deodorants will also set off my sinuses as will some cleaning products (Bleach especially, so we rarely use it in our home and never on clothing).

My sinuses will also react to certain foods... Garlic for example.
