Do I ever! My favorite kind is a local variety, Alpenrose, which is 100% cream, no emulsifiers or additives of any sort, because I can taste the difference.
Not that it matters now, since genuine whipped cream is off the menu for me forever. I've tried a coconut-based variety but it really wasn't the same.
As for from scratch, it depends what you mean by that. I've whipped cream in a mixer, but I've never milked a cow.
