Political season comes earlier every year

petrea_mitchellIt is August 2023, and I've already seen a campaign sign in my neighborhood for the November 2024 election.
It was, surprisingly, for Ron DeSantis.
I'm not surprised to see a sign for a Republican, since this immediate area still leans right-ish, but it's traditionally gone for the moderate, business-friendly Republicans. So if it was going to be a Republican other than Trump, I would've expected to see a sign for someone like Asa Hutchinson.
