World Rivers Day: Do you live, or have you ever lived, near a river? Are the rivers in your area under threat from climate change?

Depends how you define "near". The Portland area is a series of river valleys. Technically I live in the valley of the Tualatin River, but I think the Willamette River (which runs through the middle of Portland) is closer.

There hasn't been much talk of climate effects on the rivers, but then again Portland depends on spring rains for its water supply much more than water being transported long-distance by rivers.
