World Space Week: October 4-10 is World Space Week. How does the exploration of space benefit society? Do you think the money spent on space exploration could be better spent on the myriad problems here on Earth?

Adding to our scientific knowledge plus I really think we do need to expand outside this rock.

I think solving the myriad problems here on Earth is less about cubic tons of money than about finding the right approaches.
