The FiveThirtyEight Democratic primary forecast currently gives a 38% chance that nobody will win a majority of delegates, more than the chances of any individual candidate.

So, if you live in a US state or territory that lets you participate in the Democratic candidate selection, please vote. Please vote for a candidate you actually like, rather than talking yourself into a tactical-voting rabbit hole. If this comes down to a contested convention, it would really help to know who everyone actually supports.

I did my part by casting my early-voting caucus ballot for this weekend's Nevada caucus. I know how to fill out a preferential ballot, and voted for the candidate I preferred the most (followed my my subsequent preferences), based solely on who I thought would make the best President, without reference to some theory of electability. In my opinion, the Democrats will not win this election by trying to act like Republicans. Republicans already have their One True President and nothing will change their minds. Many of them don't seem to even understand why we even bother holding an election, since Dear Leader is obviously God's Chosen One. It's the Democratic party's responsibility to energize their own supporters, not pretend that they can somehow convert Republicans.

I wish your attitude were more widely in evidence.
Which is all I plan to say about that.
