Welp, Oregon is banning gatherings of 250 or more people for a few weeks. This will mean no Game Storm (they haven't posted a statement yet, but the announcement just happened), but at least they should now be able to invoke force majeure and not pay huge financial penalties for cancelling the event.

I expect that today at work we'll get the announcement that it's time to work from home for a while. My biggest worry is that I'm not going to stay in the habit of getting exercise a couple times a day if the weather is terrible and I don't have to bike to the light rail station. My second biggest one is putting together a workspace I can use for an extended period. A day or two hunched over the laptop while sitting on the couch is tolerable, but not weeks on end.

Yeah, I know what you mean, although in my case, it's the rare trips to the Bay Area office hunched over my laptop in a chair that is nowhere near as ergonomic as the (expensive but worth it) office chair I have in my home office. I'm actually a bit relieved that the last of the reasons for going to the Bay (meetings have been canceled, travel canceled, and anyone who can work from home has been urged to do so until further notice) means that the three-week Bay Area-Pacific Northwest trip is up in smoke. If I'm lucky, Alaska Airlines will eventually even let me get my airfare to Norwescon back.
