Electric heating pads: Are they still a thing, and if so, who sells them? Everywhere I look it's just the ones you stick in the microwave to heat.

They still exist. Online only at Walgreens. More options at CVS. And various brands at Target --some in stock at local Portland stores.

I don't remember where we got ours, but yes they still exist. Might have been off Amazon.

They mostly turn off after a period of time, but they are still around.

Indeed they do. The European market has a great variety, but I bought a plain one at the CVS inside the Target last year.
