This time for sure!
Jun. 20th, 2019 09:16 amIn light of this new report from The Verge about the toll on Facebook's content moderators (CW: believe the content warnings, they are NOT KIDDING), it is time to make Dreamwidth my primary public online residence. I am done doing anything on Facebook other than activities geared toward rebuilding my social network elsewhere.
I don't imagine that switching platforms will make all the horrible people go away, but storage limits and the lack of seamless sharing should reduce their influence by a few orders of magnitude.
I'm not going to do individual posts pointing to my weekly anime column here, at least not until activity picks up enough over here to make doing that less spammy. I'm looking at some kind of weeknotes format which will include a link to it, which I'll experiment with on the weekend.
