Convention gaming plans

With my newfound time and energy that isn't being spent commuting, I've wanted to start running in-person Pathfinder Society games at my local gaming store at such time as it's ready to start hosting in-person games. Which is not yet, but the return of in-person conventions is providing another avenue.
So, for instance, I could volunteer to run a game at Kumoricon, the local anime con, coming up in a couple weeks. Problem: the local PFS chapter has decided as of this year to give up having an organized presence there. It's understandable, as the RPG area was always isolated from the rest of the con and there was no way to really promote that the games were available and able to accommodate newbies. But there's a PFS 2e scenario that's based on a well-known set of Japanese urban legends that I'd really like to try running there, and the head of the local chapter has assured me I won't be stepping on any toes if I go run it on my own initiative. It sounds like it has probably made it on to the schedule (Kumoricon has been bad at directly saying "Your item is on the program" this year), so now I just have to work out the best way to get a PDF of a large map printed.
Looking a few months ahead, there will certainly still be an extensive PFS preference at the local gaming con, so I'm already to volunteer for that when the call goes out.
After that, hopefully my next con will be Enfilade!, which is all miniatures gaming. But after that, I'm fairly confident of attending Westercon 74. This Westercon is aiming to stay small, like well under 500 attendees, so I had no expectation of a real gaming track, and was planning to just bring supplies for a spontaneous 1-hour game if I happened to find enough people who were interested.
But, perusing the con facilities page, there was a mention that there might be gaming in one room if there was any interest. I e-mailed Programming to volunteer to run a couple games, but the reply is that no requests to run games will be considered unless and until someone is found to run a gaming track.
The implied question in a situation like this is, "So, do you want to volunteer to do it?". I have no experience with being on gaming track staff, but a rudimentary track such as you would expect at a 200-300 person convention might be within my capabilities... only I asked about what they were envisioning and they are thinking of something more full-featured with tournaments and such.
The pipeline of gaming coordinators for regional and broader sf cons seems to be broken lately, and I've looked around some for ways I could get on that ladder and eventually help out. But this is apparently not that opportunity. Back to Plan A.
